Horse on Box - Jar	Sculpture on Bases The figures stand on slab-built pedestal bases. Some of these are covered jars that can be used as containers and double as visual bases for the sculptures sitting on their lids. Most of the figures and their bases are unified by a barium matt stoneware glaze which provides the illusion of a metallic surface.
